    The service life of this diesel engine largely depends on the quality of the fuel and oil used; the swirl flaps of the intake manifold are the first to become overgrown with soot and jamming; if the EGR valve is not cleaned, the inlet will become clogged with soot and the engine will start unevenly to run;Closer to 100,000 km, the crankshaft damper gradually collapses and begins to make noise;


With long oil change intervals, the service life of the turbine and timing chain is around 200,000 km.

BMW engine block with crankshaft

General overhaul

N57D30 A, B, from. C Euro 3,200,--


Engine block is measured and checked for damage. All half-shell bearings are then removed and the main bearing aisle is checked. If necessary, the main storage aisle is created. The crankshaft is also measured, checked for damage and ground and polished if necessary. Next undersize 0.25 mm to a maximum of 0.75 mm. New main bearing switches in original quality as well as new connecting rod bearing shells are installed. The ready-to-install block includes the overhauled original BMW crankshaft with new bearings. The oil spray nozzles and the oil paths are cleaned and, if necessary, new oil spray nozzles are installed.

After 30 years of experience and engine renovation, the completely renovated blocks with crankshaft last longer than original engines. Provided that the oil filter and oil change are carried out approximately 2000 km after the general overhaul and subsequently every 10000 km.

If you hand us your defective crankshaft with engine block (no hole in the block and no bent crankshaft and no deep grooves on the crankshaft), the following costs will be incurred:

With handover of the defective BMW engine block including crankshaft Euro 3,300.00.

Without returning the defective parts, Euro 3,900.00

You can also hand over your defective engine block and crankshaft to us later; until then we will collect the amount of EUR 600 as a deposit.

For the guarantee to be valid, it is necessary to have the engine block installed in a specialist workshop, which will also carry out the necessary additional work.

The 3.0-liter BMW N57 diesel engine has been assembled at the Steyr plant since 2008 and is installed in almost all more or less large models of the German BMW Group. The power unit has three modifications:

Repair of your engine block with crankshaft

The engines are completely dismantled into their individual parts in our factory and cleaned before all wearing parts and components are renewed and replaced. The new parts are of the best quality and correspond to the factory delivery quality. The crankshaft is reworked if necessary to ensure proper running. It is checked electromagnetically for cracks. Connecting rod bearings and main bearings are generally renewed. The bearing lane is measured and, if necessary, restored. The oil channels are meticulously cleaned to ensure a permanent oil supply. The cylinder block is checked by measuring, checking for cracks or other damage. If there are even the smallest deviations, it is repaired according to the manufacturer's specifications. Damaged connecting rods will be replaced. Pistons are checked and replaced if necessary and piston rings replaced. Camshafts are measured and replaced if necessary, adjustment units are checked and replaced if necessary. Cylinder head is checked for cracks, shaft seals and valves replaced if necessary. We repair any type of engine damage and give a 6 month guarantee. The engine without add-on parts is then handed over ready for installation.


We also offer engine parts, e.g. completely renovated engine block with new bearings, BMW completely renovated ready-to-install crankshafts polished up to a maximum of 0.75, as well as completely renovated finished engines without add-on parts at the best prices. Cylinder head - general renovation. We also test your injectors and, if necessary, we exchange them at the best prices. We specialize in the repair of BMW engines.

Engine prices N57D30 AB or C without add-on parts, between Euro 4,100 and 5,300. Most engine damage in this series is due to bearing damage in the crankshaft and connecting rod bearings.

Why not a used engine? Sometimes imaginative mileage information risk of reliving the identical engine damage that you had previously suffered.
